With our big support trip coming up in September, I’m slamming away on our new website, www.josephandheba.info which you of course must have found already if you are reading this. I’m working feverishly now in putting together all of the content, especially on the About Us, About IHOP-KC, and Resources pages. I want to clearly explain who we are, what we feel called to, and how you can be a part. And hopefully that’ll translate into a bunch of people catching the vision and becoming financial supporters!
We’re leaving September 4 and will be in the Greensboro, Winston Salem area of NC throughout the whole month. It’s the area where Heba grew up and we have a lot of friends and connections there. Currently we are planning on meeting with about 25 prospective partners AND (my favorite part) connecting with all of our current partners to thank them for their faithfulness and sow into them.
We’ve been feeling the pull lately to raise as much support as possible so that we would be able to be 100% sustained by our support and not have to receive anything from any of the teachings that we do, etc. We want to be completely free to give ourselves to the directions the Lord is calling us.
For example, we’ve been sensing that it’s time for us to prepare to do ministry in the Arab world. To us this means studying Arabic, probably through living in Egypt 3-4 months each year and taking classes. Through having 100% of our financial support raised we would be free to do that.
So all that was to say that I’m excited for this trip. Already the Lord, through a financial partner, has supplied a free trip to North Carolina for us which is a huge blessing. We look forward to seeing His continued favor and provision as we seek to do God’s will.
