2007 Highlights

2007 was a year of extreme blessing for us. It was a year that confirmed again and again that we ARE called to full time ministry. 2007 was also a year of testing in just the right areas to help us grow and a year of encouragement right when we needed it.

Above all 2007 was a year of a lot of first time experiences. Here are the top of the list.

  • New House

Wow, what a difference a year makes. Even more, what a difference a house makes. We’ve spent the last 8 months slowly tweaking, changing, adding and updating things until they were just right. We are so blessed and excited to be home owners. It has been very settling for us. Thank you to all of you for helping to make this possible for us.

  • Broken Arm

On May 7th Joseph broke his arm and had to have a surgery to “put it back together”. Of course you know that because of our “The Official Broken Arm Storyarticles in our past newsletters. We pray that through these experiences we have learned the patience of Job, and that sometimes when the Lord wants to give you a ‘promotion’ He does it through hard times that produce faith, patience and trust. Thank you all for being there for us and praying for us during these times.

  • New (old) Car

This year we also were given a wonderful new car. Our dear friends, Ben and Laura Wells-Tolley blessed us right when we needed it and gave us their old one. It was the perfect gift at the perfect time. Through another gift from another partner, we are fixing up our old Nissan to give it away to a family that just lost theirs. Freely receive, freely give!

  • New Ministry Positions

2007 brought a promotions in our positions at IHOP-KC as well. I moved from leading a team of 10 staff to become the head over about 300 staff in the Morning Section (6AM – Noon) of the Prayer Room. Heba took a new position that focuses on training our new staff in the principles of prayer and raising up worship teams and leaders to staff our Prayer Rooms.
