I’m splitting this up into 3 parts, simply to make it shorter
After the prayer meeting (see Part 1) I was about to walk over to the onething office for me Service hours when one of the IHOP-KC grabbed me and asked to have a conversation. The gist of the dialogue was:
-
The day of people doing multiple things (having multiple roles) at IHOP is ending, not necessarily today, but it is ending.
-
You (Joseph) have a ton of options in front of you right now. Some options open up huge doors of ministry, others are more hidden
-
A bunch of other fun stuff but I won’t share that part
-
I (leader) encourage you (Joseph) to think about throwing yourself into the Prayer Room.
So here is the second time in one day that I get hit with this idea of laying down all of my aspirations to be a speaker and public leader in the young adult and campus prayer movement across the nation and instead go deep in prayer.
I think about the experience in the prayer room moments before where I realized how young I am. Now it hits me even more; I have plenty of time, plenty of years to do the public preaching thing. What if I set that aside for a few years and really seek the Lord in prayer?
