8 Years of Continual Prayer
We celebrated the 8th Anniversary of non-stop prayer here at IHOP Missions Base. Since September 1999, thousands of young adults have gathered to pray and seek the Lord in Kansas City. God is truly “up to something” right now. Across the earth the testimony is that many are being called to live a life of prayer.
We believe that God Himself is orchestrating a worldwide prayer movement. It is clear in the Bible that when we live righteously and believe God and His promises, and pray and seek His face* that He will answer and act on our behalf. My heart is to be one that equips the church in our nation to respond to this promise.
What will our nation look like in 2015 (eight more years)? Will we be a righteous nation that has returned to the Lord? Will the church rise up and seek God, turn and pray to see our nation changed? I’m an optimist. I believe in the church and the power of God. I believe there will be true revival across our nation and a great turning and returning to the Lord. But one thing remains true; we can’t do God’s part, and He WON’T do our part. Oh that we would do our part.
*If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. -II Chronicles 7 v.14
